The Orkli 52110 valve is a thermostatic single-pipe valve specifically designed for towel radiators with pipes coming from the wall. This version features the head position on the left side and includes a 1/2" male connection to the radiator, an M24 x 1.5 connection for the pipe, and an M28 x 1 thread for installing a compatible thermostatic head.
In addition to controlling the opening and closing of the radiator, this valve allows hydraulic balancing of the circuit through the regulating shutter, limiting the maximum flow entering the towel radiator. It is supplied with an integrated inlet probe and a manual handle, which can be easily replaced by a compatible Orkli thermostatic head to automate room temperature control.
Reference 52110 belongs to Orkli's range of thermostatic single-pipe valves for towel radiators. It is designed for installations where the supply and return are part of a single-pipe circuit and are concentrated in the valve located at the bottom of the radiator.
This reference is configured for installations with pipes coming out of the wall and the head positioned on the left. Orkli offers a separate reference for right-hand head orientation, so it is advisable to check the required orientation before placing the order.
The head position is a key feature of this reference. In the Orkli 52110, the manual handle or future thermostatic head is located on the left side of the assembly.
This configuration makes it easier to adapt the valve to the position of the pipes, the towel radiator, and the available space in the installation, avoiding the use of a valve with the opposite orientation to the one required.
The valve is supplied with a manual operating handle that allows the flow to the radiator to be opened or closed. This handle can be replaced by a thermostatic head compatible with M28 x 1 connection.
By fitting a thermostatic head, the valve can automatically regulate water flow according to the selected room temperature, helping maintain comfort in the room without having to manually adjust the radiator continuously.
Important: the thermostatic head is not included with the valve and must be purchased separately.
The thermostatic single-pipe towel radiator valve allows two regulation functions. On the one hand, it controls the opening or closing of the radiator; on the other, it allows hydraulic balancing of the circuit by acting on the shutter with an Allen key.
This adjustment makes it possible to limit the maximum flow entering the radiator, helping balance the installation when several emitters are connected to the same single-pipe circuit.
Orkli supplies this single-pipe range with an integrated inlet probe. The probe directs the incoming water into the radiator to promote proper circulation through the towel radiator.
The manufacturer indicates that, for correct operation, the probe inserted into the radiator should extend approximately two-thirds of the total length of the radiator.
When the handle and spindle are in the closed position, the valve allows the radiator to be fully isolated. This makes it possible to carry out certain interventions on the towel radiator without having to completely drain the heating circuit.
This feature makes maintenance or emitter replacement easier when the installation has been carried out correctly.
The valve can operate with different flow directions. However, Orkli recommends that the hot water inlet be on the side furthest from the handle or thermostatic head.
Following the recommended orientation helps achieve the hydraulic behavior intended by the manufacturer and proper circulation in the radiator.
The connection to the radiator is 1/2" male. Orkli's technical sheet specifies a connection using ISO 228/1 cylindrical thread with O-ring and protective ring to ensure sealing at the radiator fitting, in addition to the corresponding threaded connection indicated for the assembly.
This configuration is specifically developed for towel radiators compatible with a 1/2" inlet.
The connection intended for the pipe is M24 x 1.5. Using the corresponding adaptation accessories, Orkli provides connections for different pipe types and diameters.
Important: pipe connection accessories and fittings are not included and must be selected according to the material and diameter of the installed pipe.
The connection for the thermostatic actuator is M28 x 1. This size allows the supplied handle to be replaced with a compatible Orkli thermostatic head.
Before installing a head from another manufacturer, mechanical and functional compatibility with the thread and spindle travel must be expressly checked.
The valve body is made of EN 12165 CW617 brass and has a nickel-plated surface finish. The operating shaft is made of stainless steel and the shut-off spindle is also made of brass.
The hydraulic seals are made of EPDM, while the operating handle is made of ABS. The probe holder and the probe itself or dip tube are made of PA66.
The valve is designed to work with water and with water-glycol solutions commonly used in heating circuits. Orkli specifies a maximum glycol content of 30%.
The permitted fluid temperature is between 5 and 100 °C.
The technical sheet specifies a maximum working pressure of 6 bar and a maximum differential pressure of 1 bar.
To reduce the possibility of annoying noise in the installation, Orkli recommends not exceeding a differential pressure of 0.3 bar.
The Orkli 52110 combines in a single assembly the connection of the towel radiator to the single-pipe circuit, flow regulation, emitter shut-off capability, and preparation for installing a thermostatic head. Its specific design for wall outlet and left-hand head position makes it suitable for installations where this orientation is required.
The integrated probe, shutter-based regulation, and M28 x 1 connection for thermostatic control provide a complete solution for both new installations and compatible replacements in single-pipe heating systems.
Important: this product includes the valve with manual handle and inlet probe. The thermostatic head and pipe connection accessories/fittings are not included and must be selected separately according to the installed system.
