The Orbis ISIMAT motion detector, reference OB134312, is designed to automate lighting on and off using PIR infrared detection. It is surface-mounted on a wall and offers a 140° detection angle, a front range of up to 12 meters and a lateral coverage of 8 meters at 20 °C, making it especially suitable for entrances, facades, porches, storage rooms, landings and other passage areas.

Its adjustable head allows the detection area to be directed toward the zone you want to control. PIR detection with 140° coverage

The Orbis ISIMAT uses PIR detection technology to identify changes in infrared radiation produced by people or other heat sources moving within its coverage area. The detector does not emit radiation to perform detection.

Its detection angle is 140° and the head has horizontal rotation of up to 180°, making it easy to aim toward entrances, passage areas or specific zones that need to be covered.

Up to 12 meters of front range

Under the conditions specified by Orbis, the detector reaches up to 12 meters in the front direction and 8 meters of lateral coverage at an ambient temperature of 20 °C. The maximum installation height indicated is 3 meters, with installation between 2 and 3 meters recommended.

The effective range may vary depending on the height and orientation of the detector, the ambient temperature and the path taken by people crossing the detection field.

Adjustable time delay from 3 seconds to 30 minutes

The ISIMAT lets you select how long the lighting remains on after motion is detected. The time delay can be adjusted from approximately 3 seconds to 30 minutes.

This wide adjustment range makes it possible to use short times in fast passage areas or keep the lighting on for longer periods in entrances, porches, storage areas and other spaces where users stay longer.

Light level adjustment from 5 to 2000 lux

The integrated twilight sensor allows you to set the ambient light level below which the detector should operate. Its adjustment range extends from 5 to 2000 lux.

This means it can be configured to activate lighting only at night or in low-light environments, or to extend its operation to conditions with more natural light.

IP55 protection for outdoor installation

The Orbis ISIMAT has an IP55 protection rating according to EN 60529. This enclosure provides protection against the ingress of harmful dust and against water jets, allowing use in suitable outdoor installations.

The manufacturer includes applications such as porches, facades, entrances, storage rooms and landings. Its normal operating temperature is between -20 and 40 °C, with operating limits from -30 to 50 °C.

10 A breaking capacity

The detector controls one circuit and offers a breaking capacity of 10 A at 230 V AC with cos φ = 1. The maximum load that can be connected depends on the type of load used.

For LED lighting, Orbis specifies a recommended maximum load of 400 VA. With incandescent and halogen lamps powered at 230 V, it supports up to 2000 W, while for fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps, downlights and low-voltage halogen lamps the recommended load reaches 1200 VA.

Zero-cross switching

The ISIMAT incorporates zero-cross detection in switching. This technology performs the electrical switching at a point close to the zero crossing of the voltage wave, helping reduce electrical stress on the relay contact, especially with certain types of electronic loads.

Surface wall mounting

The detector is designed to be fixed directly onto a smooth wall. Its overall dimensions are approximately 72 mm wide, 80 mm high and 100 mm deep, providing a compact format for outdoor applications.
