This range of timings makes it suitable both for fast transit areas and for spaces where it is desirable to keep the lighting on for several minutes after motion is detected.

Light level adjustment from 5 to 2000 lux

The integrated twilight sensor allows the operating threshold to be adjusted between 5 and 2000 lux. In automatic mode, the ORBIMAT can be configured so that the lighting only switches on when motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the selected value.

This reduces unnecessary switching on during hours when there is sufficient natural light.

Three manual operating modes

The mechanism incorporates a concealed manual selector with three positions that allows the circuit behavior to be chosen according to the needs of each moment:

• Automatic: lighting is controlled by motion detection and the selected light level.
• Permanent on: keeps the load connected regardless of detection.
• Permanent off: keeps the load disconnected.

These options are useful for maintenance tasks, cleaning, or specific situations in which automatic operation is to be temporarily disabled.

Compatible with additional push buttons

ORBIMAT allows external push buttons to be connected to manually activate a new timing cycle. This makes it possible to use the detector as a staircase timer as well, combining automatic presence-based switching with additional manual activation points.

External push buttons may include neon or LED indicators provided that the limit indicated by Orbis is respected, below 1 mA at 230 V.

Zero-crossing switching

The detector incorporates a relay with zero-crossing detection. This technology switches near the zero crossing of the voltage waveform, helping to reduce electrical stress produced when connecting certain electronic loads.
